Why This Guide Exists
Printed resident directories faded, but the source records remained with different custodians. Pinellas County ownership data belongs to the Property Appraiser and Clerk. Registration data follows Florida law. Historical volumes sit with local libraries, the Pinellas Genealogy Society, Heritage Village, and the State Library. This reference brings the verified search routes, office contacts, collection years, and access limits together without pretending they form one master database.
What the Pages Cover
- Pages by angle: the street directory (address-keyed records), the city directory (the historical shelf), and the resident lookup (one-person searches)
- The rolls and offices: assessor, recorder, elections office, court clerk, vital records, the library's local history collection
- Walkthroughs: how to trace who lives on a street, how to read a directory entry, how to follow a household across the decades
- Access rules: what Florida Constitution article I, section 24 and Florida Statutes chapter 119 open, what stays closed, and how to request an offline record
What This Site Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It is not connected with Pinellas County, a Florida agency, any court, or any library. These limits always apply:
- We cannot confirm whether a specific person currently lives in Pinellas County
- We cannot pull, certify, or change any record on your behalf
- We cannot add anyone to, or remove anyone from, any roll or database
- We cannot give legal advice about a record or a dispute
- We cannot promise that every coverage year, link, or office detail here is current at this moment
Only the custodian office can confirm, certify, or correct a record. Nothing found through this site may be used for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
